Nick sawyer
On a mission to say more through the medium of wood. Inspired organic designs that reflect fluid movement through our spaces. Make rivers, not obstacles.
Technically, Nick knows more about biology than woodworking or design, but his passion lies in the sawdust on the shop floor. Self taught, Nick first started woodworking in 2018 with a miter saw and airbrush making signs. This lit the spark that burns today and has led him down the rabbit hole into bent wood furniture.
Somewhere along the journey, he found that creating videos of the process opened a world of possibility in abstracting stories through his work. Stories of people, of milestones, of memories, and of life.

“Our desire to please the masses interferes with our need to make something that matters. . . . Being hated by many and loved by a few is a sign that the work is idiosyncratic. Worth seeking out and worth talking about.”
~ SETH GODIN
I have a recurring, almost constant fear of being mediocre. I grew up average in so many ways; sports, height. . . the size of my breasts– and I worry that I’ll end up average which’ll feel like a complete failure. Average feels humiliating.
